This blue Eppendorf iceless cold pack reliably cools samples for more than an hour at 0 degrees C when precooled for 2 hours at -20 degrees C. Temperature safety is indicated by a color change when temperature is exceeded. The light blue pack turns dark blue when ice cold. The pack returns to its original light blue color when temperatures are above 7 degrees C. The special cone contour prohibits freezing of samples. This space saving cold pack is superior to an ice bath and keeps samples safe from contamination. It can be used for the protection, transportation and storage of sensitive samples, as well as for the safely stopping reactions.
