World Centric 32 oz NoTree wide paper bowls are made from paper produced from crop residues and alternative fibers like bamboo. Great for hot or cold foods like soup, salad, oatmeal, or ice cream. The NoTree brand is the eco-friendly choice, and shows a commitment to environmental responsibility. These disposable bowls have a bio-based lining, are freezer safe, and are compostable in a commercial composting facility. World Centric certified compostable paper bowls are lined with NatureWorks Ingeo, which is derived from plants grown in the USA. Most cups you'll find on the market are lined with polyethylene and won't compost. Technologically, it's difficult to make something similar to these paper bowls from alternative fibers. We are currently researching to see if paper cups and bowls can be made from a mix of alternative fibers, recycled fibers, and responsibly managed wood/paper fibers to create a more sustainable product. In the meantime we carry lines that have improved on the standard paper cup. Instead of using petroleum based plastics which create toxicity and environmental pollution, you can now use our compostable alternatives. *Not recommended for high-wattage microwaves.
